Daily Workout …

Warm-up -

400 m run
20 aussie pullups
20 DB uni bent row R 15/25
20 DB uni bent row L 15/25
400 m run

Workout -

Set a clock to beep every 30 sec. Perform sets as outlined below. There are 15 sets of each.

3 chinups (strict)
5 BB bent row 65/95
5 BB biceps curl 45/65

Daily Extras - Do 18 sets for each exercise. Note: see workout note #10 below.


Workout Notes (daily workout):

  1. Masters: 10-12 rounds will do you nicely.

  2. Open Gym … is available by apt only during non-coached hours. Click HERE to sign up for open gym time slots.

  3. Finish all 15 sets of one exercise before moving to the next.

  4. Perform each set as fast as you are safely able.

  5. Sets should use manageable weights at between 60-80% of prescribed set count.

  6. Keep the chinups strict as possible. Here are some progressions for chinups if unable to get strict.

  7. If you get to a point where you haven’t any pullups left, try kipping them. ONLY AFTER! :)

  8. You will have to use a bit of monkey motion on the bent rows and biceps curls due to the explosive nature of the movement today.

  9. Use high speed on all lifts. You are trying to pre-stretch the muscle using momentum.

  10. This workout should feel “easy.” We are mainly working the nervous system. Not so much the energy systems.

Warmup … (2x)

100 jumping jacks
100 KB swings 25/35
100 stair switches (R+L=1)
100 crunches

Workout …

5 rounds of:

20 mid band rows M/H
10-15 strict biceps curls 15/20 ea.
Rest 2 min

Daily HOME Workout Notes:

  1. “No video for jumping jacks!” I know, but they are jumping jacks.

  2. Move quickly between warm-up exercises. Try not to stop.

  3. Limit rest between band pulls and biceps curls.

  4. Rest is part of your “round.”

  5. Linds and I will count you through all the reps tomorrow on Zoom!
