Drink a Protein Shake Before Your Workout.

Research out of the University of Texas shows that drinking a protein shake before your workout helps channel more amino acids to your muscles.  In fact, doing so has been shown to increase uptake of amino acids by 79%.  As you know, amino acids are the basic building blocks of muscles.  This leads to better workouts (you'll have more energy) and quicker recovery.
