Perform 8 rounds of 20 seconds work followed immediately by 10 seconds rest for each of the following exercises.  Complete all 8 rounds before moving to the next exercise.

elliptical (arms only) 4/8
v-ups
plate switches
KB swings 25/35
spin bike sprints
v-twists 15/20

Daily Extras - Choose 3 and do them again.

Workout Notes

  • Need to keep the elliptical moving during the "rest."
  • Use a lot of body on the elliptical.
  • straighter legs are better for v-ups and v-twists.
  • Spin bike sprints should be the worst thing that has ever happened to you. You should take the pain you receive from these very personally. Like, you should hate me and wish temporary bodily harm upon me for 3 full seconds after this Tabata.

We Do Not Serve Our Fitness; Our Fitness Serves Us!

A guy asked me the other day what the GPP catch phrase was. Ha! Like I have thought that far ahead. Catch phrases seem like the kind of thing big biz guys, with a lot of time on their hands, sit around inventing in order to justify their obscenely large paychecks. I always figured a good quality product (GPP Programming) was more unforgettable than a snappy catch phrase. Then again, what do I know? He said it was critical. He wondered how we've made it this far in business without one. He was so amendment about it he acted mad. He was just trying to help me see.  I dunno, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe a catch phrase is something I really need for people to understand what it is we do.

So, I've been thinking a lot about it lately. Which of our sayings illustrates most what GPP is?

We have a lot of sayings. We've got:

"We DO so we can BE"
"Minimalist"
"Use your fitness!"
"I can do hard things."
"It's an Optimal Health thing."
"That's a workout!"
"Get your workout in and GO HOME! Go be a human."
"Push/Pull/Squat/Core"

This is just a few of them. There are many more. Which of our saying means the most to you? Which one speaks to you most now? Which one meant the most to you when you first came here? Do we need a catch phrase in your opinion? I'm thinking I'm going to pick one and make a logo for it and post it on every page of our website. I'll also use it to brand our FaceBook, Instagram, YouTube and other social media pages. Would love to hear your thoughts. Please post to comments.

Tara using her fitness hiking Havasupai. Said Tara:

"Hiking out with a Diet Coke. We got out in 3 hours 45 minutes while stopping about 10 for that. Most people get out in t 6 hours according to the rangers who had dropped jaws at how fast we were!"

I'm taking credit for that!
